I was honored to coordinate a wedding for two truly sweet, loving people like Evelina and Stan. From the very beginning, Evelina’s sweet demeanor coupled with Stan’s desire to please his bride and “go with the flow” nature, made this couple an absolute dream to work with.

Evelina and Stan hired me several months ago to bring all their planned details, and then some, together on their special day at the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace. The scene was all set and ready for their perfectly pink wedding (and when I say pink, I mean girly pink, one every girl dreams of.. and sweet Stan, gave Evelina exactly what she wanted.. what a catch!!!), in which their ceremony took place in the lovely, flower-filled rose garden on a warm, but not to hot, August afternoon. Thankfully their was a slight cloud cover, that made it humid, but not unbearable…

As guests arrived in the Rose Garden for the ceremony, they were greeted with the classical romance played by my lovely recommended harpist, Pamela, who is absolutely amazing! She adapted all song selections, specifically for Evelina and Stan’s preferences, including a last minute change for the Groom’s request. The Rose Garden was full of flowers, pink to be exact, dangling down the aisle and rose petals scattered along the path sweet Evelina would walk to meet her man.

Thankfully, Evelina and Stan took the time to have pretty much all their pictures taken before the ceremony began, so after wards we did a few group shots with all their guests and then the delicious aroma of fine cuisine by Jason’s Catering invited everyone in to enjoy yummy appetizers and beverages… It was great to see Evelina & Stan truly enjoy the sampling of Jason’s fine “pickings” along with all their guests during cocktail hour.

Their lovely reception took place in none other than the grand East Room, which I might just say looked absolutely stunning decked out in, yes, Pink! Evelina could have gone a bit crazy here, but refrained, and chose complementing upgraded ivory linens, gold chargers, and silverware to go along with her eye-catching pink centerpieces.

Even the mantels were all decked out in pink, which also happens to be my favorite color too, Evelina! In my personal opinion, you really can’t have too much of it.

I was “tickled pink” even at the sweet bow on top of Evelina & Stan’s wedding cake…

Great lighting and music, by none other than Bobby at Carcano DJ, filled the room as guests wined and dined the entire evening through.

All-in-all, it was a perfectly lovely evening and I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of Stan & Evelina’s first day of the start of their new life together. Thanks, you two, for letting me play a part in your especially wonderful wedding!
