As guests made their way into the reception space, they had so many details to feast their eyes on, from the florals, to the wooden table numbers, to the menus, and even wooden bride & groom signage hanging from their chairs.
Not only do cake stands make your wedding cake look gorgeous, but they are also a great way to add additional height and dimension for a fraction of the cost!
I learned a new tradition at this wedding: To my horror, I noticed during the reception that a hole had been cored out of the cake. I honestly thought it was some stupid seagull going after the cake, but apparently it is LA County fireman’s tradition to core out the back of the wedding cake. It was an acknowledgement to Aaron’s chosen career path by his fellow firefighters. After much laughter by the Firefighters, on my behalf of course, my sweet bride Monica cackled at the idea I thought it was a bird… silly me!
