Every once in awhile I am reminded why I truly feel blessed to be a wedding planner. Maggie & Joe were one of those reminders for me last year… This couple is amazing… They are loving, grounded individuals that have their priorities in the perfect order. Especially when it came down to postponing their wedding graciously because of a family member’s illness. When their new date was set and their wedding day finally came, it was truly a Delightfully Graceful Wedding fit for this perfectly paired couple.
Maggie & Joe selected the stunning Richard Nixon Library for their special day. Their ceremony was held in the radiant rose garden, filled with splendid florals by none other than the fantastic Jenny B Floral Design. After their delightful ceremony, guests wined and dined on marvelous cuisine by White House Catering. I smiled as I watched guests chat about the photo wall containing baby pictures of both Maggie & Joe and as they selected their escort card from the darling setup of “Happily Ever After.” I just love it when my clients spend time on the little details that guests truly enjoy…
As guests entered the East Room, they were in awe of how Delightfully Graceful the East Room appeared… Everything from the luscious eggplant purple linens, custom made for Maggie by Elegant Chivari Chairs; their names and wedding date in lights, by Visions Entertainment, who also did the awesome music for this festive occasion; and of course the beautiful florals again by Jenny B Floral Design.
Their lovely wedding cake, by Passionate Pastry, was a delicious treat for guests to enjoy…
One of my favorite, fun and kitchy wedding elements Maggie incorporated into her wedding was a Cookie Bar, made up of tasty homemade cookies complete with recipes from both Maggie & Joe’s family… Delicious!
I would be totally remiss if I didn’t thank Maggie & Joe’s Vendor Team: the AMAZING Jim Kennedy Photographers for Photography; Couture Motion for Videography; Afton Williams for Makeup; Papillon Salon for Hair. What a great team it was for Joe & Maggie! Thank you to all of you for making their day so wonderful. And of course, thank you Joe & Maggie for giving me the opportunity to share in your special day.
