We absolutely adore all things classic, but we LOVE when we get to mix things up and design something so fabulously out of the box! The inspiration for this styled shoot was modern-chic romance to complement the downtown vibe of the Rooftop Terrace at La Peer Hotel in West Hollywood. This unique, contemporary, design-centric Los Angeles hotel was the perfect location for this shoot, and we partnered with the most incredible team of vendors to bring our vision to life. The color palette included black and ivory with gold and rose gold accents, and antique blush, eggplant, pale yellow, and pops of bright greenery in the florals. We incorporated sleek, industrial elements along with metallic geometric accents, varying textures, gorgeous patterns, organic greenery, and romantic florals to soften the look. And because we are obsessed with pretty paper designs, we custom designed wedding invitations and menu cards that exude modern romance, just for this occasion!

The open-air mock ceremony was clean and crisp with black chiavari chairs and a cluster of altar arrangements in varying metallic geometric containers, with market lights strung overhead and the Hollywood Hills as our backdrop. Our bride was exquisite in a beautiful lace gown with a sweetheart neckline and streamlined silhouette provided by Casablanca Bridal. To top off her sophisticated look, she wore a pair of chic and wedding-worthy Louboutin’s. Our dashing groom wore a classic black tuxedo provided by Stitch & Tie.

For the reception, our styled shoot was held in a glamorous tented space with glass windows all around, grey wood flooring, white draping, blush uplighting, and crystal chandeliers. The guest dining tables included a mix of black sequin linen and cream and gold patterned linen with an elegant, mid-century modern style design. Gracing each place setting were alternating gold geometric chargers and black glass chargers, gold-rimmed glassware, black glass goblets, gold brushed flatware, and a single white and black anemone. Gold and rose gold votive candles brought a warm glow to the tables. The King’s Table—perhaps our favorite element—consisted of one long concrete table with modern crystal candelabras and an abundance of florals and loose greenery in geometric containers down the center of the table. To complete our look, we designed an ultra sleek and chic dessert display, with a black sequin linen, gold and rose gold terrariums for added decor, concrete and marble dessert stands with geometric elevations for mini desserts, and a fabulous textured ivory and gold glitter cake with antique blush sugar flowers by Mr. & Mrs. Creamery. The overall affect was utterly jaw-dropping and truly a work of art, so get ready to pin your heart out!
