It is so true how the years, months, and weeks can just fly by. It’s been almost 10 years since I graduated from my alma mater, USC, and for the most part I haven’t had the opportunity to speak to many of those college friends since. Thankfully, I have a few gals I’ve remained in close contact with, but on the whole, I’ve lost out on seeing those old friends grow and become the women and men I knew they would be.
Recently, I was able to reconnect with a long-lost college friend, Connie, who I knew as a USC Helene back in the day. Connie is getting married next year to another USC alum, William, at the Richard Nixon Library, which happens to be my biggest client. It was such a blessing to hear from her and to see what an amazing woman she has become. And I was so grateful that she selected me to be her wedding coordinator. It will be such a pleasure, and honor I must say, to be a part of her special day…
One of my goals for the rest of the year was to seek out old college friends, like Connie… From gals I knew my freshman year in the dorms to gals I served alongside with as a USC Helene. It was also important for me to get my feet wet again and reconnect with friends I knew in the Entrepreneur Program. To see what some of them have accomplished so far in life has been amazing and truly an inspiration.
I encourage you to take a look at where you’ve been in life and seek out a few of those friends who were a blessing to you in your past. Call your High School, College, Social Club or Church to find them. Do what you need to because you will be blessed when you get a chance to say, “Hello Friend! I’ve missed you! What are you doing with your life these days!?!?!”
