I just loved working with Ashley & Matt. This couple had their act together and are so in love! With the combination of their Doctorate pursuits, love of the outdoors, and passion for God, they make a dynamic duo. You add who they are together as a couple, and individually, plus Ash’s ability to envision items from the “past” together with decor from “today”, truly made their wedding one of my favorites of the year… Poetically Romantic, it was indeed!
Ashley & Matt selected the Richard Nixon Library for their lovely ceremony and reception. As always, this venue’s great combination of the cheerful Rose Garden and stunning East Room, merely set the stage for this gorgeous daytime wedding… Guests were greeted upon arrival on this warm wedding day with lemonade & spa water, a festive guest book station where they sat on a darling bench for their Polaroid picture, and then ventured into the garden for the start of the ceremony…
Their ceremony was intimate, led by their wonderful Pastor, Rob Mohr, string music by Jay Avila, and other musical entertainment by Chris Picco & Band. Create A Party Rentals also added to the fabulous day with their garden-esque umbrellas and white wood chairs. Oh, and who could forget that STUNNING ceremony decor… a luscious arch full of colorful florals and willow, all by the awesome Flower Allie.
While Ashley & Matt, with their family and friends, captured a few pics by the AWESOME and TALENTED Joel at Studio EMP and the new on the wedding scene videographer Maranatha Hay, guests ate to their hearts delight the always wonderful faire by Jason’s Catered Events, and collected their place card that Ashley cleverly placed on the back of Herbal Jars which doubled as their party favor.
When doors opened to the East Room, guests were honestly in awe of lovely East Room filled with perfectly picturesque centerpieces and arrangements that combined dried florals, books and fresh flowers; a dig-in-deep mouth-watering Dessert Station, and tunes by the wonderful Jay from the D’Jay company.
After a decadent lunch, guests enjoyed the entertainment of Chris Picco & Band, plus the surprise performance… Matt surprised Ashley by re-writing the song he used to propose to her.. it now included words for her on their wedding day. Their honestly wasn’t a dry eye left in the audience…
Ashley & Matt then asked guests to see them off, and even the bride and groom received a pleasant surprise on their departure. Ash’s sister, Sara, had hired a Classic Limo for the couple to get-away in… Great ending, to a truly fun, festive, and memorable wedding! Congrats to you both, Ashley & Matt. Here’s to many amazing, wonderful years together!
