THE RAMOS HOUSE CAFE
Located in the heart of the Los Rios historical district in San Juan Capistrano, the charming Ramos House Cafe is a nineteenth-century board-and-batten house situated on the oldest residential street in California. Serving up seasonal, always-varying contemporary American cuisine with a southern flair, this storied cottage — formerly home to one of San Juan Capistrano’s oldest families — now uses the secret hideout under the main bedroom as a wine cellar and music studio. With the majority of the original structure and a 100-year-old mulberry tree preserved on the grounds, the Ramos House is open for brunch and lunch seven days a week and is such a romantic and meaningful place to host your rehearsal celebration.
DINING AT THE RAMOS HOUSE CAFE
The Ramos House is known for its scrumptious brunches and is only open during the day from 8:30am until 3:00pm, offering a fun alternative to a traditional evening rehearsal party. Sip delicious mimosas and Bloody Marys on the tree-shaded patio as you snack on apple cinnamon beignets, basil-cured lox, persimmon and pecan pain perdu, or a savory crab hash. With its herbs grown in the on-site garden and its ice cream made in-house, you won’t find fresher fare than at this beautiful cafe — and the creative menu offerings can change daily.
