It was about 2 months of diligent planning that led to the HUGE SUCCESS of the Richard Nixon Library Open House this past Sunday! When I’m talking huge, I mean huge. Let me rewind a second…
Last Wednesday, I was preparing to leave for a quick family vacation to mammoth (will blog about later) and trying to finalize all the details, time line, and layout for the Nixon’s Open House before I left. I sent these out to relevant vender participants later that afternoon and received several comments back on their excitement and participation for the upcoming show. The primary focus of the show was to be on showcasing the Nixon’s facility, which was to be set up for a “mock” wedding, from chairs and flowers in the Rose Garden, to guest tables and even a cake table in the East Room. Carrie & Laura, who work at the Nixon, had the vision for the event to reveal to potential brides the awesomeness and beauty of their facility, while at the same time highlighting a few of their favorite venders…
Well the event was just that.. Gorgeous and Amazing, and on top of that a huge success with more qualified brides and grooms showing up to preview the facility than originally anticipated! Yeah!!!!!
Champagne was served, cake was tasted, and hors d’ oeuvres by the Nixon’s 3 exclusive caterers were relished on. “Yummy and tasteful,” were some of the comments you could hear as guests wandered around the East Room sampling different food items and standing in awe of the beautiful floral arrangements.
Towards the end of the event, Carrie, Laura and I toasted to the successful day and talked in anticipation about what the following week would project in boosted facility rental sales. Needless to say, because of the show the Nixon only has a few dates left for 2009! Wow!!!! Congrats Carrie & Laura for such an awesome show! Can’t wait until next time!
