Brian and Cathy, some dear friends of ours from USC, got married this last year and sent out this Christmas Card. Seriously, not only made me laugh, but almost cry it was so funny… not only because we LOVE them and GET THEM, but also because as you all know I coordinate weddings professionally and I LOVE IT when a client does something fun and crazy like this…
We came to find out that before the ceremony while the bridal party was taking pictures in downtown LA near their venue, there HAPPENED to also be a PEACE RALLY not far off. I’m not really sure which one of them thought it would be funny (knowing Brian and Cathy they both thought of it at the same time as they practically share a brain), but CRASHED the rally, in full wedding garb, and were able to “BORROW” a protesters megaphone and sign… Truly a great, unique picture moment…
Encouragement to my wedding clients… Be spontaneous when taking your pictures… you’ll never know how great a picture like this can be if you aren’t open to new ideas from your photographer, family and friends… I’d encourage you to allow your photographer creative freedom on your special day, as well as yourselves..
Photo cards…Think about doing these not only for holiday cards, but also for thank you cards… they can be purchased anywhere, and are quite affordable ranging from $1.43 on up per card, depending on where you go.. My personal favorites are on Shutterfly and Walmart…
