Usually about twice a year, my best friends and I escape the chaos of life and family, and head out to soak in the sun, great drinks, and yes chat, or as my sweet husband calls it.. “bitch”… Therefore, we named our fantastic getaway weekends… Sip and Bitch… appropriately named as we did consume some wonderful Greyhounds and Sangria (and food too!).. yummy!!!!
This past weekend, my girls (Paige, Lori, Natalie, Michele & Sara) and I headed out to enjoy the heat in Palm Springs and to escape the cool, damp weather that came to the OC. Wow, was it fantastic! The hotel we stayed at was the Residence Inn Palm Dessert (a Marriott hotel) and boy, did that hotel aim to please. Not only were the accommodations very clean, well kept and updated, the pool was lovely, the complimentary breakfast yummy, and all the staff were courteous and kind. They even handled getting rid of some “smokers” that were poolside one day puffing away and contaminating our lovely, hot air… sorry to those of you who smoke, but smoking in the pool!?!?! not cool…
We enjoyed dinner out all three nights… yes, I say three nights because we left on Friday and came home late Sunday… had to “milk” that for all it was worth!!!… We also enjoyed a “chick flick” on Sunday afternoon… Ghosts of Girlfriends Past… seriously a great film, that made all of us laugh, cry and squeal with delight. I mean, who wouldn’t at Matthew McConaughey.. yummy, he is indeed!?!?! (Sorry babe… love you more!!!).
Anyway, it was truly a relaxing, festive weekend and such a treat to get away. Thanks Girls for such a Fab time!!! Until the fall….
