Most every bride would say they are dreaming of clear, sunny blue skies on their wedding day without a drop of rain in the forecast. But this Monarch Beach Resort wedding just goes to show how cozy, romantic, and GLAMOROUS a wedding day can be on a rainy day (not to mention the super sweet photo ops for the Bride & Groom!). Sara & Ethan chose one of the resort’s gorgeous ocean-view lawns for their ceremony and cocktail reception. The rain did fall, but it did nothing to dampen this darling couple’s mood! A white tent kept the ceremony area dry where a driftwood arch was constructed, dripping with lush white florals and phalaenopsis orchids. To frame the aisle, white cherry blossom trees were placed at the entrance. The overall affect was breathtaking!
Cocktail hour continued in the coziness of the white tent, and guests were invited to take pashminas to keep warm. And can we talk about the seating chart for a moment?! The seating chart was a beautiful display of three acrylic signs in lavender, mauve, and fuchsia tones, all set on top of a mirrored marble table with hanging crystals and an abundance of floating candles. Simply exquisite! For the reception, guests moved into the resort’s unique indoor/outdoor space where the decor was nothing short of spectacular. The guest dining tables included alternating round tables with cream and silver brocade linens and square tables with silver matte satin linens, finished off with silver napkins wrapped around silver chargers, silver chiavari chairs, and floating candles galore. For a pop of color, the tall white floral arrangements were accented with draping fuchsia orchids, as well as fuchsia orchid blossoms tucked into each napkin. The sweetheart table was set apart on a sleek white table with a full and lush garland of florals. White chiffon and crystal chandeliers were hung overhead to only add to the elegance of the decor, and the existing fireplace in the reception area was lit to create a warm and inviting glow.
The dancing area had more of a lounge feel with fuchsia uplights and a seamless white dance floor with their custom monogram in deep purple, and their cake table dazzled with a silver sequin linen, mirrored top, and a gorgeous white and silver cake with cascading fuchsia orchids. Guests danced the night away before the evening finished with a bang (literally!) with a surprise firework display. The photo of the bride and groom soaking in that magical moment together under an umbrella is EVERYTHING. It was a wedding for the books and one we are sure to never forget!
