Seriously love destination weddings!  When everyone gets to travel to a destination, even one that’s within driving distance for most guests, it is still a bit surreal.  Mainly because your out of your element, the daily grind, the common.  And being in the Santa Ynez Valley at one of the most beautiful vineyards, completely creates not only a fabulous wedding, but a fun, festive weekend for all to enjoy.

When I first met Kate, she knew exactly what she wanted… a luscious vineyard wedding.  A now it was just a matter of a few day trips to find that perfect location for her wedding to the amazing Scott.  Kate fell in love with a vineyard in Santa Ynez fit for a queen and king.. Gainey Vineyards.  Not only are they known for their wines, but their serene, beautiful vineyard is the perfect place for a royal wedding ceremony and reception….

To start off their wedding day, Kate and Scott used the darling Hotel Corque for their “home base” as I call it.  Kate was ravishing in her beautiful flowing wedding gown, and Scott added a bit of pizazz with bright colored socks for all his guys to wear…

Under a towering oak tree that must have been at least a hundred years old, Kate and Scott declared their love for each other in front of their closest family and friends…  I loved the use of wine barrels to provide the height for their gorgeous florals, by Amanda Crawford Designs, and their Unity Candle.

During cocktail hour, while the bridal party were finishing up a few remaining pics with the talented, Kate Noelle (thanks Kate for these awesome pics), guests wined and dined on the truly delectable cuisine fit for royalty…  24 Carrots is where it is at, when it comes to delicious food!  And I must comment that I admired how darling and rustic their place cards looked in a frame made by Scott’s mom…

Gainey Vineyards courtyard was transformed into an amazing reception fit for this king and queen…  I loved how Kate thought out of the box and used long tables for her guests, over the standard round tables.  Between the combination of lavish florals, candles, lighting and of course the always wonderful All Star Trio leading the way for music and all that jazz, it was an evening to remember.

Of course, who could forget the beautiful wedding cake, made by Kate’s sister, and the decadent desserts by 24 Carrots
