We always love when we receive the opportunity to work with a couple from early in the planning stages to arranging the final details of their wedding. And we were able to do just that with Catherine & Chris.

Catherine & Chris selected the Richard Nixon Library for their wedding ceremony and reception about a year and a half before their wedding. We jumped at the opportunity to come on board and bring their vision to life. Catherine knew from the start that she wanted a very classy, glamorous, and romantic feel to surround her wedding day. All of her bridesmaids wore gorgeous black floor-length gowns and carried an ivory bouquet by Magnolia Design.

One of the biggest fears for every winter wedding is rain.  We experienced scattered showers all morning and into the early afternoon. Sadly, Catherine was forced to make the decision to move her ceremony inside the library. It was not the ideal location that she had dreamed of, but it was the best choice for her guests. About thirty minutes before guest arrival and a short break in showers, we were able to move the ceremony back outside. The rain held out just long enough for the two of them to share their vows and head down the aisle as husband and wife. The Rose Garden was completely stunning with the stunning clouds, reflection pool, and timeless florals. It was the ceremony Catherine & Chris had dreamed of, and a perfect one at that!

After their ceremony, Catherine & Chris quickly headed off with their fabulous photographer, Joel from Studio Emp, to capture a few intimate moments while the rain held out. Thanks so much for sharing these photos!!!

While this darling duo finished up their portraits, guests were treated to fantastic cuisine and cocktails by Jason’s Catering. Guests also grabbed a look at their seating chart we designed for them.

The East Room had a timeless and elegant feel for Catherine & Chris’ glam wedding reception. The tables had high and low centerpieces, custom framed table numbers, candles, and beautiful black linens and napkins to bring their tablescapes together. I loved the way their monogram was projected on the wall. It was the perfect spot for every guest to see as they entered this magnificent space.

Tasteful Cakes created a delicious wedding cake that was enjoyed by all.

As guests made their way out of the ballroom, they were greeted by a sendoff favor station that was filled with small to-go boxes and a darling sign.
