Where do we begin with this beautiful wedding day for one of our very own Agape Planning babes! It was such a joy and honor to be a part of Mackenzie and Joe’s special day, and Jim Kennedy Photographers was there to capture this darling couple and all of the stunning details! The Ardenwood Historic Farm was a dream venue for their ceremony and reception, with their expansive lawns, intimate gardens, towering trees, and stately 19th century mansion in the background. Mackenzie and Joe chose a rich color palette of navy blue, blush, and soft peach, with hints of burgundy, textured greenery, and gold and copper accents—perfectly complementing the gorgeous natural surroundings of the venue. The ceremony took place on one of the venue’s outdoor lawns with a large oak tree as the backdrop. A bloom-filled garland cascaded down the oak tree where Mackenzie and Joe said “I Do”, and we love that the ceremony seating included a mix of farm benches and rustic wooden cross-back chairs. The overall affect was whimsical and oh-so-romantic!
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and lawn games before being invited to join the alfresco reception illuminated with market lights and vintage New York-style lampposts. We love the two unique guest table designs: round tables dressed richly with navy blue velvet linens, wooden cross-back chairs, and gold mercury glass votive candles, as well as rectangular rustic wooden farm tables with benches and tall taper candles in gold holders—all accented with light grey napkins, sprigs of greenery, geometric table numbers, and gorgeous, loosely arranged florals that brought an organic, Bohemian feel. The assortment of sweets for the dessert table was lovingly provided by close friends and family of the bride. It was truly a sweet day, so lovely from start to finish, and utterly heartwarming to see these sweethearts begin their forever. The beautiful bride was radiant in her Paloma Blanca dress (with pockets!) and we cannot get enough of the BEAMING smiles these two wore. Congratulations Mackenzie and Joe!
